Age 49 years. Remains removed from the Presbyterian Cemetery on June 21, 1883. He was named in honor of his father's business partner, Benjamin Stoddert. After the Revolutionary War, Uriah Forrest and Benjamin Stoddert established a successful merchant shipping firm. On February 18, 1823, he married Ann Maria Summers in Montgomery County, Maryland.

At his residence in Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland, on Tuesday last, Benjamin Stoddert Forrest Esq., for many years President of the Senate of Maryland and a distinguished member of the Bar.
