SIBLEY – (PNS) – Mrs. Elise Meyer, 38, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Woman’s and Children’s Hospital, Chicago, where she had been a patient one day. She had been in ill health since December.
She was taken to the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the family home, south of Anchor.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the residence and at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. W.C. Volkmann officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sibley.
She was born Aug. 25, 1918, at Sibley, a daughter of Pearl M. and Margaret Von Brethorst Brucker. She was married to Donald Meyer Feb. 20, 1939, at Sibley. They had 4 children
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Tabitha Society and the Dorcas Society.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Carol Ann and Donna Rae, at home; two sons, Gary and Phillip, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Montalva, Wheaton; Mrs. Gertrude Kluever, Metamora; four brothers, Marion, Wyoming; Arnold, Sibley; Leonard, Gibson City; A-C Richard, Lackland AFB, Texas; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.M. Brucker, Gibson City.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
