Deceased Name: MORRIS, MRS. BERTHA SANFORD
MORRIS, MRS. BERTHA SANFORD age 91, passed away on Sunday, October 9th at Talladega Healthcare. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Elmwood Chapel in Birmingham. Graveside services for the family are scheduled for Tuesday, October 11th at 2:00 p.m. She is a native of Lamar County and moved to Birmingham 1948. Mrs. Morris worked for Liberty Trouser Company and was an active member of Central Park Baptist Church, Hunter Street Baptist Church, and the former Parkway Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert Clinton Morris; her parents, Jacob and Frances Ada Sanford, and her siblings, Ada Sanford Woolbright, Henry Sanford, Clara Sanford Yarbrough, Leland Sanford, Clyman Sanford, Mima Sandford Moore, Iva Sanford Rushing, and Autry Sanford Morris. She is survived by her children, Layne Morris, Don Morris and Carolyn Morris Jones and son-in-law, Ronny Jones; grandchildren, Robin Morris, Danielle Morris Stanford, Jason Morris, Phillip Jones and Patrick Jones; great grandson, Jake Stanford; and a host of special nieces and nephews who were very dear to her heart. The family wishes to extend their profound thanks to the numerous healthcare professionals at Summer Place and Autumn Trace, Talladega Healthcare and Comfort Care Hospice who cared for her over the past six years.
