***3/25/2023***I have found Mary E. Bullock in the Marion, Iowa Mortality Schedule which gives date of death as September 1879, age 9, born in Linn County, Iowa. Cause of death Diphtheria. Father born England mother born Indiana.
Theresa believes this to be a different daughter: they did have a daughter by this name that was born Feb 1870 and died at the age of nine putting her death around 1879. Could not have died in 1855 since her parents were married in 1868.

Her father, Jonathan Bullock, arrived in New York City from Liverpool, England on 17 July 1865 on the ship "The City of Washington" with his brother and family. According to cemetery records, Mary Etta's parents are buried in unmarked graves next to her on the south or to the left in the picture. It is believed the date of death may have come from the original contributor on 1 Nov. 2004.
