Henry Brunner was born in Germany. Before 1850, he and his family moved to St. Louis, MO, America. Henry would move up to Cleveland Ward 3, Cuyahoga, Ohio where he was living with John Young a shoemaker. Within a few years, shoemaker Henry would move to Georgetown OH and found a shoe manufacturing company. He sold his shoes in the store on the east side of Georgetown Square. During his lifetime, Henry: wasa Stewart of the Royal Arch Masons No 52 Georgetown Chapter (1852); married Caroline Klumpp in 1858; one of the "Squirrel Hunters" who tried to check the Morgan raiders during the Civil War; Sentinel (an officer) Barrere Council, No. 25, was granted a charter October 12, 1867; an officer of Georgetown Lodge, No. 72, F. & A. M.; an incorporator of the Georgetown Building and Loan Association was incorporated February 22, 1879. He and wife Caroline are buried in the Confidence Cemetery, Georgtown, Ohio in the Brunner plot.
