Benjamin F. Leadbetter (1805-1868) had three wives. With his first wife, Lucinda Heald (1804-1848),whom he married in 1830, he had six children: Franklin Cummings Leadbetter (1830-1862), Caroline Augusta Leadbetter ( 1832-1852), Danville Tilson Leadbetter (1834 - in Australia), Eunice Leadbetter, Elizabeth Waterman Leadbetter (1836-1878) and Lucinda H. Leadbetter( 1838-1852).

Please note that two of the above children were named after Benjamin's brother, Danville Tilson Leadbetter (1811-1866), a Confederate General in the Civil War, and Elizabeth (Waterman) who he married in Aug of 1836. Benjamin's daughter, Elizabeth Waterman Leadbetter, was born Nov 20, 1836.

Benjamin married second Mary Ann Felker Blunt (1801-1853. They had three children: Emily F. Leadbetter (1847-1894), Mark S.B. Leadbetter (1850-1913) and Thomas Leadbetter (1853-1929).

Benjamin's third wife was Susan N. Blunt (1825-Aft 1888), a 1/2 sister to his second wife, Mary Ann Felker Blunt. Benjamin and Susan had six children together: Henry A. Leadbetter (1854- ), Mary Ann Leadbetter (1857-1863), Louisa D. Leadbetter (1859-1859), Ida Hathorne Leadbetter (1860-1863), Charles Field Leadbetter (1864- ), and George W. Leadbetter (1866-1889).

After Benjamin's death in 1868, Susan married secondly, Thaddeus F Boothby (1822-1894)of Embden. His first wife was Philena Felker (1830-1874)
