Mrs Bettie Malone left Tuesday of this week for Chinook, MT, on an extended visit to her two sons, and will probably remain a year.

Mrs Bettie Malone, whose maiden name was Dameron, was born in Caswell co, NC, on Aug 17, 1827. In the fall of 1831 she moved to MO with her parents, Joe C and Salina Dameron. On Oct 21, 1846, she was married to William Malone, who a number of years ago preceded her to the grave. Five children were born to bless this union, 3 of whom, William, Charley and Robert, are now living in western states. She leaves also one brother, George W Dameron, who lives south of town. On the morning of the Fourth when the parade passed up Depot street she had her nephew, H L Rutherford, raise her in bed and she waved her handkerchief. that evening she passed away. Last summer she spent in MT with her sons. About 3 days before her death she wrote a letter to her niece, Mrs John Hurry of El Paso, TX
