Funeral Services Of W.R. M'Clelland
Prominent Business Man Laid to Rest in Stone Mountain Cemetery
The funeral services of William R. McClelland, late president of the J.M. High Dry Goods Company, were conducted at Stone Mountain yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock. The body was carried to Stone Mountain on a special train over the Georgia road. The interment was in the Stone Mountain cemetery. Besides the family and the pallbearers an honorary escort and a large number of friends went to Stone Mountain on the train.
Although he had been ill several months, the news of Mr. McClelland's death struck grief to the hearts of a large number of friends. Mr. McClelland was taken ill with pneumonia in February while in New York on a visit. Later pleurisy developed, and although everything possible was done, blood poisoning set in and it could not be checked.
The dry goods stores on Whitehall street closed Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 o'clock, the hour of the funeral, as a mark of respect to the memory of Mr. McClelland.
Mr. McClelland is survived by his wife, two sons, two brothers and four sisters.

O'Donnely, W.A. Hancock, John Stokes, John Brice, N.H. Brittian, Leon Walker, J.P. Allen and Lucian York. Train will leave Union depot at 10:30 a.m.
