OBIT; MRS. CICERO SPEAR DEAD dated 9-16-1921
Mrs. Amanda Spear, died last Friday at 2:45 a.m., at her home one mile north of the city, at the age of 88 years, 4 months, 18 days. She had been in failing health for several years, due to advanced age, and her death was not unexpected. She is survived by two sons, R.W. Spear of Clarksville, TX, and Walter Spear of this city; also two grand-children, Wade Neely of Bullard and Miss Carrie Neely of Jacksonville. Mrs. Helen Neely, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Spear, died some years ago, and Mr. Spear passed away on August 26, 1920. Both of the sons were at their mother's bedside when the end came.
