DUMAS - A.W. Blackshear, 84, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with Art Lynch, minister of First Street Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery.

Mr. Blackshear was born Sept. 3, 1920, in Leonard. He was a self-employed landscapist. He married Lillian Wash on May 27, 1937, in Leonard. He was a Moore County resident for the past 50 years.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Shirley Bowman of Colorado City and Janice Stone of Dumas; a son, Ronnie Blackshear of Amarillo; five sisters, Dorothy Sipes, Farris Rowell and Peggy Ferguson, all of Dumas, and Billie Payne and Ina Belle Maner, both of Cedar Creek; three brothers, Perry Blackshear of Cleo Springs, Okla., Royce Blackshear of Dumas and Dub Barnett of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing, P.O. Box 15186, Austin, TX 78761 or to a favorite charity.

The family will be at 1101 S. Durrett.
