STOLTENBERG, VINCENT G. 1917-2006. Vincent G. Stoltenberg, age 89, of Apple Valley, Minn., formerly of Lake Oswego and Robbinsdale, Minn., died Aug. 2, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Margaret; parents, Vincent and Gudrun Stoltenberg; and sister, Camilla. He is survived by his son, John Stoltenberg (Joe Hamilton) of Washington, D.C.; daughters, Rev. Katheryn King (Dave Eltland) of Rudyard, Mich., and Diane Stoltenberg (Fred Holzapfel) of Apple Valley, Minn.; granddaughter, Leah Eitland of Phoenix; sister-in-law, Nileen Horstmann; brother-in-law, Robert (Patricia) Horstmann; nieces and nephews; god-daughter, Carolyn Leach; and his little dog, Puff.

Vincent was born in Hazel Run, Minn., graduated from Granite Falls High School and attended Dunwoody Institute. He was employed as a tool and dye engineer at Northern Pump, Minneapolis Tool, Honeywell and Medtronics where he helped design the tools that made the components for Pacemakers. While he loved "tinkering" with his tools, his primary love was to provide for his family and help out wherever he could. From 1969 to 1991 he shared his gifts and talents volunteering at and supporting Camp Annicon in Northern Wisconsin, an outdoor outreach ministry of Central Lutheran Church. After moving to Oregon he and Margaret continued to support and honor the important work being done by the camp.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15 in Central Lutheran Church, 333 S. 12th St., Minneapolis. Remembrances may go to Camp Amnicon, 8450 E. Camp Amnicon Rd., South Range, WI 54874. Arrangements by Washburn-McReavy Nokomis Park Chapel, 612-721-1651
