Jack W. Branning, 51, Rockford, died at 3:10 pm, Tuesday, March 30, 1993. Born July 31, 1931, in Loves Park, the son of Harley and Edith Tester Branning. Married Patricia Palmer in Loves Park,, May 27, 1952. Retired corporate executive for Sundstrand Corp., where he was director of Administration and Transportation Services. Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as Captain in the Army and flew fixed wing and helicopter Recconaissance. Member of First Assembly of God Church. He was instrumental in the development and builiding of Christian Life Retirement Center. Shared in the design and construction of Sundstrand Corporate Headquarters. Served on various committees at Rock Valley Collelge and Rockford School District, He loved to golf and camp . Survivors include his wife Patricia, Rockford; two sons, Jeffrey Branning and Gregory (Lisa) Branning,all of Rockford. four grandchildren Michele, Daniel, brother Donald, (Adeline) Branning, Rockfordk several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, sister Joyce, and one niece. Services, Friday at 1 pm April 2, in the first Assembly of God church with the Rev Sam Mayo, pastor, officiating. Burial in Scandanavian Cemetery Visitation from 7 to 8:30 pm Thursday in Delehanty Funeral Home. (photo)
