Mrs. Leila Martha Brock was shown in her father's household in 1900 as having been born in March 1875. She married Elias Gresham Brock 8 Jan. 1902 with Rev. H.F. Hoyt officiating. Mrs. Brock of Jackson County, received ninety-nine and one-half acres of land adjacent to lands of D.M. Burns, W.H. Wright, C.O. Brock, and others valued at $1,775 from her father's estate 25 May 1903. Her grandniece, Martha Jane Carson, said of her, "I picture Aunt Leila sitting on her porch in Commerce facing the railroad and Commerce's main street. When we went into town, each Saturday we always took her country butter, eggs, and buttermilk."
