MRS. MAMIE SMITH
Mrs. Mamie Everett Smith, 73, of 48 Ussery Homes, died late Thursday in an Ozark Nursing home following a short illness. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 P.M. at the Ward-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
The rites will be conducted by the Rev. Thaxton Whiddon. Burial will be in Memory hill cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home until time for the rites. The family has requested flowers be omitted.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Dale County. She had lived in Dothan since 1946. She was the widow of S. M. C. Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. J.R. Anderson, Fairbanks, Alaska; six sons, Hiawatha (Tiny), and L. J. Smith; Dothan, George and John S. Smith, Daleville; Calvin C. Smith, Havana, Florida; William H. Smith, Valparaiso, Florida; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
