A. D. ("Bay") Barnum died at University hospitals in Iowa City Saturday after a short illness. Mr. Barnum was born March 13 1892, at Niobrara. Neb. He was employed as district manager for the United States Rubber Co. in the Omaha and Sioux City districts for 40 years. He retired in 1954. Mr. Barnum was a member of the United Commercial Travelers and the Moose Lodge. Survivors include the widow. Mary Ann ("Nan"); two sons Walter A. of Cedar Rapids and A.D. Jr. of Sioux City, a daughter, Mrs. Jerry Foy of Fremont, Neb., and six grandchildren. (Sioux City Journal, Iowa, July 22, 1956)
