The Birmingham News April 20, 1967: Funeral for Emmett William Allison, 67, of Rt. 11 Birmingham, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Roebuck Chapel, burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Mr. Allison, a native of Trussville, died in a local hospital. He was a retired employee of Long-Lewis Hardware Co. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Naomi Allison, six sons, Robert I. Allison, Birmingham; Euel G. Allison, Canton, OH; Ellis S. Allison and William E. Allison, Jr., both of Leeds; Edward C. Allison, Colville, WA and James Earl Allison of the U.S. Navy; a daughter, Mrs. Lois P. DeLawder of Baltimore, MD. three sisters, Mrs. Stella Walker of Trussville; Mrs Della Brown of Hueytown and Mrs. Bert Roper of Forestdale; two brothers, Lester Allison, Trussville and J.C. Allison, Leeds.
