Leland Stone, 68 of Middleton, passed away Thursday, November 5, 1998 in Nampa. Private graveside services are under the direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Lee was born November 13, 1929 in Horton, Michigan to Leland Sr. and Mabel (Funk) Stone. He spent his early years in Union City, Michigan. He later went to Chico, California for 20 years and then to Indiana for 2 years and later to Middleton where he has lived since. Lee was a master carpenter and cabinetmaker who could create anything with wood, either by fine carving or general woodworking.
Lee is survived by 3 sons; Calvin and wife Teresa of Middleton, Gordon and wife Karen of Greenville, Ohio, Randy and wife Karen of Tacoma, Washington, 5 grandchildren; Jerusha, Jorcion, Grace, Tara and Tonya. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Farr and husband, Harrison of Nampa, 3 nieces; Linda, Virginia, Jennifer and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.
