Margaret E. Miller, 68, of Streamwood Court, Granger, Ind., and Naples, Fla.,died following a lengthy illness at 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, in her residence.
Mrs. Miller was born October 21, 1931, in Michigan City, Ind., to Oscar H. and Helen (Patric) Timm, and had lived in the northern Indiana area all of her life.
On August 8, 1953, in South Bend, Ind., as Margaret E. Timm, she married Royce L. Miller, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Lorie (Patrick) Walsh of Granger and Lisa (Matthew) Litwiller of Wakarusa, Ind.; three sons, Randall L. (Kelli) Miller of Elkhart, Ind., Scott A. (Christine) Miller of Plymouth, Ind., and Wade A. (Jennifer) Miller of Galien, Mich; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Kenneth, Katlin and Kimberly Miller, Clayton Litwiller, and Jena, Jackie and Krystin Deneen; her father, Oscar H. Timm; and by a sister, Mary (Calvin) Barnes. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Timm.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Granger, and was an associate member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Naples, serving as an organist at both churches. She was also a founding member of the Altar Guild at Peace Lutheran.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, in the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 16791 Cleveland Road, Granger, with Rev. Steven Mischke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, 16791 Cleveland Road, Granger, IN 46530.
