Bobby Joe Evans, 60, of Broken Bow, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Broken Bow. He was born March 5, 1939, at Clebit.

Evans had lived here since 1973, moving from Indiana. He was a member of Golden Baptist Church and was a 32nd degree Mason, Wright City Lodge. He was a retired welder for Brown & Root.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Ruth Evans; and one brother, Tommy Evans.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Joe Evans Jr. of Hickory, N.C.; four daughters, Ruth Helen Roberts of Holly Creek, and Tina Blevins, Rosalee Killian and Roxanne Killian, all of Conover, N.C.; one brother, Wilbert Evans of Pensacola, Fla.; a twin sister, Betty Jean Wagner of Holly Creek; another sister, Corrinne Weaver of Indianapolis, Ind.; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Norwood-Leonard Chapel, Broken Bow, with Bro. Mark McGehee officiating. Burial will be in Holly Creek Cemetery.
