Nellie Agnes DeYoung Dexter, 73, died at 10:40 PM Friday [July 27, 1984] in Americana Healthcare Center, following one-and-one-half years of failing health. A native of Benton County, she had spent most of her life in Lafayette. In 1935, she married Raymond Dexter, in Lafayette, and he survives.

Mrs. Dexter had been a bookkeeper at the old Hogan Drug Company for ten years. She was a member of First Reformed Church, Ladies Guild and choir at the church, and Home Demonstration Club.

Survivng with her husband are a daughter, Janelle (Mrs. Fred) Abbring o Wheatfield, IN; and four grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
