Catherine E. Carrico, 81, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 1 a.m., January 8, 1999, at her residence.

Born August 18, 1917 in Loretto, she had lived in Indiana most of her life. She was a retired resident instructor for Corvilla, Ind., and was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Herbert and Lucille Ryan Hayden; her husband, John E. Carrico, Sr., who died on March 28, 1985; and a son, Robert K. Carrico, who died on November 21, 1981.

Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara Blair and Sharon Leoffler, both of Mishawaka, Ind.; six sons, John E. Carrico, Jr., and Daniel Carrico, both of Mishawaka, Ind., Joseph, William and David Carrico, all of South Bend, Ind., and Thomas Carrico of Osceola, Ind.; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Carrico of South Bend, Ind.; three sisters, Laurine Peterson and Mary Ann Wilson, both of Louisville, and Joyce Caldwell of Calvary; a brother, James T. Hayden of South Bend, Id.; 29 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m., January 11, at Little Flower Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Ind.

Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, Ind., was in charge of the arrangements.
