James Ellis Ballew, 76, of 122 Olivet Church Road, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday at Parkview Convalescent Center.
Mr. Ballew was the former owner of Trader's Mike's Auto Salvage and was a native of Wesson, Miss. A member of the Ballard County Lion's Club, Mr. Ballew was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Edgar Ballew and a member of Temple Israel.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Weintraub Ballew; four sons, Joseph Ervin Ballew of Saudi Arabia, Leonard Ellis Ballew of Memphis, Tenn., and Alan Ballew and Michael S. Ballew of St. Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Suzanne Weiss of Chicago and Miss Laurie K. Ballew of Paducah; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Case of Ozark, Ala.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Temple Israel Cemetery. Rabbi Howard Folb will officiate.
Friends may call at Roth Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Temple Isarael Endowment Fund or the National Asthma Center in Denver, Colo.
