My GGG-Grandfather

Noah was the son of John and Susanna Turner Lam. He was a twin, his twin brother's name was David. He was married twice, maybe more. His first wife was Frances Turner, his second was Catherine. He had many children, but many have been hard to find info about. They probably died young. His children that lived to adulthood were, by his first wife: Sallie Minnick and Mary Spitzer; by his second wife: Joseph, Monroe, Susan Shoemaker, Martha Elyard and Riley Freed.

from the Rockingham Register, Jan. 12, 1906:
The funeral of Noah Lam, whose death occurred on Monday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Spitzer, three miles east of Timberville, was held Wednesday morning at the Linville Creek church. The services were conducted by Rev. John F. Driver.
Mr. Lam was 82 years old and his death was due principally to the infirmities of old age. He resided for many years in Brocks Gap, but had recently made his home with Mrs. Spitzer. He leaves a number of children, who are residents of Brocks Gap.
