Everett Arnold
1937-2010 DANBY, VT Everett Arnold, 72, of Danby, passed away at home with family on May 13, 2010.
Born on Nov. 10, 1937, at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington, son of the late Harold Edward Arnold and Ivah Squires Arnold, he graduated from Arlington High School, where he played varsity basketball, baseball and soccer.
He served in the Navy and was a Merchant Mariner for many years after.
Before his retirement, he was a carpenter in the local area. He was one of the founding members of the Dorset Sportsmen's Club, member of the Manchester Lions Club, and F.O.E. Eagles.
Everett was and avid outdoorsman. He could always be found on the local river banks. He enjoyed time on KelleyStand at the family camp. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his friends and family.
He leaves his wife of 42 years, Janice, his son, Seth, daughter, Danielle and her husband, Chris Dufresne, all from Danby, Vt.; son, Jim Bolster, of Shushen, N.Y.; and daughter, Sharon Bolster; a sister, Zita Stark, of Sunderland; an aunt, Dorothy Squires of Bennington; and grandchildren, Cayden and Bridget Dufresne. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends.
MEMORIAL NOTICE: There will be a celebration of life at the Danby Town Hall located at Danby Four Corners. It wil be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Everett, to the Danby Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 52, Danby, VT 05739. We miss you.
