Former seamstress worked in garment industry
Helen M. Ozlanski, 99, of 146 N. Locust St., Mount Carmel, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at home.
Born at home in Mount Carmel on Nov. 3, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Ann (Pilarski) Oldynski.
She was employed as a seamstress in the Mount Carmel-area garment factories.
On Oct. 29, 1938, in Our Mother of Consolation Church, Mount Carmel, she married the late Ignatius Ozlanski, who preceded her in death in 1952.
She was educated in MOC School and was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, formerly MOC; Women's Council of MOC Church; ILGWU, and the Mount Carmel Senior Citizen Center.
Survivors include three children: Carol Ozlanski, at home; Daniel Ozlanski and his wife Margaret of Mount Carmel; Marilou Calleri and her husband Carmen of Bloomsburg; three grandsons: Matthew Calleri and his wife Kelli of Bethlehem; Daniel Ozlanski and his wife Kelly of Marion Heights; and Michael Ozlanski and his wife Tamara of Blacksburg, Va.; three great-grandchildren: Tyler Ozlanski, Evelyn Calleri and Sofia Calleri.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Zarzyczny, and a brother, John Oldynski.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Ave., Mount Carmel, with the Rev. John A. Szada Jr. officiating. Burial will be in MOC Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. Viewing will be held Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel.
