Final Tribute will be paid to the memory of Mrs. Illinois Bauguess 99 years old, who died Friday, when simple but impressive funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Julia Switzer, 131 North Twelth Street. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Mrs. Bauguess, who died as she was nearing the century mark of life, was born in Illinois on September 5, 1826. She lived in Illinois until 1905, at which time she moved to Terre Haute and had been a resident of this city since that time.
She was married twice, first to James Lake, from which union five children were born, but all of which are now dead, with the exception of one daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Allen, of Jewett, IL.
She later married Reuben Bauguess. Twins were born to this union, but died in infancy and later a daughter was born, now Mrs. Julia Switzer, with whom she has made her home since the death of her second husband.
Mrs. Bauguess leaves the two daughters, 11 grandchildren, one half-sister living in Chicago and one half-brother living in Oklahoma to mourn her death.
