Miriam made her home in LaFontaine for over 60 years, where she was a member of LaFontaine United Methodist Church. She left many friends in LaFontaine in 1997 when she moved to be near her daughter in Frankfort.
Miriam enjoyed family and friends and especially enjoyed her church in LaFontaine. She never missed an I.U. or Pacer basketball game and she was always ready for a game of Skip-bo. Her many family gatherings were especially important to her at her LaFontaine home and later at her home in Frankfort.
