He was Rev Captain Alexander Daniels. He was the son of Kneel Alexander McDaniels & Chloe Streeter. His parents married 13 Jan 1779 in Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts. Chloe Streeter was the daughter of Samuel Streeter and wife Joanna Morse. (Information was taken from the work of Helen Hill Read Tuttle (McDonough Historian) and records of the Chenango County, Historian.) The surname was originally MacDonald. His father, Kneel was born in Scotland. Children of Kneel & Chloe: Joseph, Polly, Cynthia, who married Alpheus Raymond, Enoch and Nathan, who married Betsey Banks.

Alexander & Sarah also had a daughter Lucy, a son Merritt born 1811, married first Hannah Brown, married second Palmyra Curtis (daughter of Seth Curtis & Anna Fitts) a son Harvey "Martin" born 1813, who married Alice B. Allen. and a son Joseph born 1815.

Sarah Madison Daniels had a brother James Madison the second of Bennington, Vermont.

Aurilla Jeanette born 24 May 1822, married Saxton P. Martin. She died 26 Mar 1909 in Medford, Massachusetts. She had two daughters, Josephine Aurlla born 13 Jul 1853 in Massachusetts, who never married, and Florence E. Martin born in 1863, who married E. Roscoe McAfee. Florence died 17 May 1898 in Massachusetts.

Asa Madison Daniels was born 30 May 1830, married Loraine Curtis, daughter of Seth Curtis & Anna Fitts. Asa & Loraine had children: Julia, Martin & Grace. Grace married Frank Atkins, Julia married Charles Comstock. They migrated to Florida and died there. Asa died 10 Mar 1930.

( Isberg 48 says - Chloe Streeter was the daughter of Benjamin Streeter and Elizabeth Bump (or Bumpus). She was born 25 Dec 1756 in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA. Samuel Streeter and Joanna Morse did have a daughter named Chloe. She was born in 1767 in Sturbridge, Worcester, MA. She married Joshua Mason in 1791.) I have found Mrs. Tuttle's work to be very accurate, but maybe she got this one wrong. The work she did on this family, she cites a granddaughter of the Daniels as a reference. At this point, I do not know who got it right.
