Born December 22, 1925 in Perry County, the son of Jessie Coffey and Anna Moody Coffey who both preceded him in death.
He married Rosella Meyer, she survives in St. Louis.
He is also survived by a daughter: Sharon (Joseph) Rodriguez of Belleville, Illinois; three sons: Stanley Coffey Jr. of St. Louis, Kevin (Jacqueline) Coffey of Eureka and Stephen (Carol) Coffey of Eureka; a sister: Lee Fuerst of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his devoted furry friend, his dog, Shirley.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Marine Corps.
He had been a pattern maker for Central Pattern Company.
