Sallie Bolt Gaines was born in Anderson County, South Carolina daughter of the late William and Martha Clark Bolt. She was the widow of George W. Gaines who died May 26, 1929 and was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. She passed away at her home in St. Petersburg, Florida on Saturday. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mattie Marie Link who died in 1919. Among her survivors are one son, M. Gartien Gaines from St. Petersburg, Florida; two granddaughters, Miss Helen Link from Columbia, Mrs. Eleanor G. Galloway from St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Elrod and Mrs. Carrie Bugsby both from Anderson. Services will be held at Cox Funeral Home on Tuesday at 3 p.m. with internment in the family plot in Belton Cemetery.
