Rev. Cleo T. Denbo 89, died April 19, 2005. He was born August 10, 1915 at Louisville, KY, the son of the Rev. W. W. and Mayme Longest Denbo.

He was a retired minister in the Wabash Conference of the Free Methodist Church. He graduated in 1935 from Vincennes University and in 1937 joined the Wabash Conference. In 1938 he graduated from Greenville College and attended Asbury Theological Seminary.

Pastoring for over 60 years, he served Free Methodist churches in West Salem, IL, Washington, IN, St. Francisville, IL, Vincennes, IN, Evansville, IN, Mt. Carmel, IL, Bloomington, IN and Indianapolis (Aldersgate). During his ministry he also served on the board of directors Woodstock Home in Illinois, chairing it for 12 years. He also was a member of the Greenville College (IL) Board of Trustees, serving as its chairman for 11 years. He served the General Conference of the Free Methodist Church in many capacities: General Church Secretary, General Commission on Chaplaincy, Bishops' Executive Secretary, and Secretary of the Board of Administration, the Merger Exploration Commission and Joint Hymnal Commission. He was a General Conference Delegate and General Conference Secretary for many years.

In 1986 he retired while pastoring in Washington, IN and moved to Indianapolis. He served as interim pastor at Bradbury, IL in 1987 and as interim in 1988 at Indianapolis (John Wesley). He served as minister of visitation at Aldersgate during 1994. He served over 10 years as a volunteer at Community East Hospital. He married Dorothy Horton December 3, 1941 in Washington, IN.

He is survived by wife, Dorothy, sons, Lowell, Wayne (Beverly) and Danny (Patricia); sister, Dolores Haskins, Washington, IN; grandchildren, Tim Denbo, Wendy (John) Bunn, John Denbo, Jason Denbo, Tyler Denbo and Nicole Denbo.
