Chloe Moreland
Dies August 26;
Rites Held Wed.

Chloe Moreland, 80, died Tuesday morning, August 26, at 5 o'clock in the Homer Memorial Hospital after a short illiness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 27 at 4 p.m. from the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Heskett, pastor of the Grace Christian Fellowship and the Rev. Walter Easton, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial followed in the Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Davidson Funeral Home.

Moreland was born January 12, 1895, in Claiborne Parish and lived his entire life in the parish. He was a retired merchant and farmer, and was a member of the Grace Christian Fellowship.

Survivors are one son, Robert W. Moreland, and one daughter, Mrs. Irby D. Hightower, both of Homer; one sister, Mrs. Pat Johnson of Homer; four brothers, Byrl Moreland and Sidney Moreland, Jr., both of Homer, Lamar Moreland of Globe, Arizona, and Tommy Moreland of Houston.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
