Ineatha Novell Pitts, 75, died Wednesday, September 29, 1999, in a local hospital.
Services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Chapel in Potosi with the Rev. Gary Word officiating. Burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Pitts moved to Abilene in 1985 from Austin. She worked for a while at the Pancake House but mostly was "Mama" and "Grandma." She was the widow of Montie Burl Pitts, whom she married in 1956. She was a member of Trinity Chapel.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Wayne Pitts of Fort Worth and Darrell Pitts of Abilene; two daughters, Olivia Lackey and Melba Lackey, both of Abilene; a sister Laverne Jones of Abilene; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
