Mrs. Green was the last surviving sibling of the late Mayor Richard J. Daley's wife, Eleanor "Sis" Daley. She was born in Chicago and was a lifelong resident of the city, living at times in Bridgeport and McKinley Park. She was married to the late Capt. George Green of the Chicago Police Department, and was the mother of Charles H. (Marge), G. Patrick (Patricia), William J. (Dorothy), Richard M. (Charlene) and Thomas J. Green.
