Berneta J. Kresge, 93, of Stroudsburg died Saturday in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Edgar T. Hoffman and the late Woodrow Kresge.
Born on May 1, 1909, she was the daughter of the late William D.R. and Melissa (Transue) Edinger.

A lifetime resident of Monroe County, she worked in Mommoth Hosiery Mill in Stroudsburg for 24 years, and retired from Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap in 1972.

She was a member of Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church, Hamilton Township, and P.O. A. Camp 208, Saylorsburg. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and had a green thumb when it came to her flowers. She also enjoyed Twix bars and had coffee and potatoes every day, to which she attributed her long life.

Surviving are one son, Walter G. Hoffman and his wife, Lillian, of Stroudsburg; grandchildren, Steven G. Hoffman and his wife, Gareth, of Denver, Colo., Patricia A. Hoffman of Stroudsburg, Brenda J. Koczot-Snell and her husband, Jeff, of Stroudsburg, and Suzanne C. Hoffman of Stroudsburg; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Koczot of Atlantic Beach, N.C., and Brad Koczot of Dillon, Colo.; two brothers, Alfred Edinger and his wife, Mary, of Stroudsburg and Ross Edinger and his wife, Marilyn, of Stroudsburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Esther, Earl, Ethel, Floyd, Erma, Forest, John, Raymond and Albert.
