LINCOLN -- Ruthelle M. Buescher, 101, of Lincoln, formerly of Wisconsin, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at 2:15 p.m. at the Christian Nursing Home.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Carnahan and the Rev. William Adam officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mrs. Buescher had taught in several Illinois high schools.
She was born Oct. 19, 1903, in Lincoln to George C. and Rebecca J. Johnston Irwin. She married Bernard W. "Barney" Buescher on March 27, 1934. He died Jan. 9, 1996.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George C. Irwin Jr. of Beason and Arthur C. Irwin of Latham, and five sisters, Lydia Smith of Clarksville, Ark., Rebecca Loetterle of Lincoln, S. Ferne Irwin of Oak Park and Lincoln, Susie Stone of Mason City and Louise Tendick of Mount Pulaski.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
She graduated from Lincoln High School and Lincoln College.
