Raymond Adams was born January 22, 1928 near Davis School in Garvin County. He left this life September 9, 2012 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the Lindsay Manor Nursing Home.
Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served over twenty years. Before retiring, he served in Germany and Korea as well as several other posts in the United States.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anni Adams on September 21, 1997. Raymond and Anni were married in Aschafenbred, Germany on May 10, 1952 while he was serving in the military. Also preceding Raymond in death were his parents J.B. and Mamie Adams and his brother Tut Adams.
Raymond is survived by his four sisters: Viola Hinckley and Jewel Underwood of Lindsay, OK, Mick Miller of Yukon, OK and Pat Coatney of Lewisville, TX. He also leaves one sister-in-law, Pearlee Adams of Lindsay and one brother-in-law, Wayne Coatney of Lewisville, TX along with three nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Adams are set for ten o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the B.G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel, located at 308 S.W. 3rd Street in Lindsay, Oklahoma, with Bro. Bill Love officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Antioch, Oklahoma with military honors by the American Legion Ball Smith Post 23 of Lindsay, OK. Serving as Pallbearers are Ben Adams, Lloyd Adams, Mitch Adams, Todd Hinckley, Daniel Hines and Byron Hines. Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
