Joe Elverio Archibeque was born April 24, 1882 and passed away at SouthWest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, CO. on July 21, 1960. His parents were Juan Domingo Archibeque and Juana Maria Vegas(Arellano)Archibeque. Elverio was living with his daughter Clarita and son-in-law Joe Espinoza the last years of his life, while fighting cancer.
Elverio was married to Maria Teodorita (Quintana) and they had five children. Clarita Mary Espinoza of Cortez, Fidel of Richmond, Virginia, Nick of Denver, CO, John Frank from Pasadena, CA and Celia Wallace from Gallup, New Mexico. Elverio was a sheepherder by trade and spend many days in the mountains of Colorado. His wife preceeded him in death, she passed in 1934. They lived in Pinones, outside of Cortez, CO.
