VANDALIA - John K. Eutsey Sr., 70, of Vandalia, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Saturday at his home.
He was born Jan. 16, 1942, in Washington County, PA, to Charles A. & Ruth N. (Veatch) Eutsey.
On June 27, 1998, in Bristol, he married Kimberly R. Neff, who survives along with 4 children, Carol (Bill) Scheidel, John K. (Patty) Eutsey Jr., Jeffery "Danny" (Alice) Eutsey, all of Elkhart, David A. Eutsey of N. Dakota; 6 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters and 1 brother.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Etta, 1 brother, Charles O. Eutsey, and 2 sisters, Sharon & Norma.
John enjoyed watching boxing on TV, listening to bluegrass music, attending tractor pulls, gardening, and watching the deer. He loved his dog, Tazz. John was a building inspector for 21 years with the state of Indiana, retiring in 2004. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 13, 2012) at the funeral home. Pastor Ron Peters from the River of Life Church in Middlebury will preside.
Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol.
