Frank Fred De Moulin, born Francois Jos. De Moulin, was a World War I veteran of the U.S. Army. Family members altered their surname between De Moulin and DeMoulin at various times and in various documents - and Frank sailed to war and back as Demaulin. HIs parents Eugene De Moulin and Desire Villers De Moulin were born in WIsconsin; all his grandparents were born in the Walloon section of Belgium.

Survivor of the German U-boat attack that sank the troopship "Tuscania" in the North Channel between Scotland and Ireland on the evening of 5 February 1918. He was a private in the 107th Engineers Train. He returned from war aboard the "Haverford" in May 1919 with the rank of wagoner.

Retired railroad worker.

Frank married Josephine Gegare in 1919. When she died on 4 May 1972, he was in the Veterans Administration facility in Tomah WI. He died 24 days later.

The couple had three children:
