GORDON HALL
1915 - 1999

Gordon Hall of Taber, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family in his home on Monday, July 12, 1999 at the age of 83 years.

Besides his wife Mary...cherish his memory...

Gordon was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 1983; son Gordon Kimble "Kim" in 1992; parents Ott and Ethel Hall; sisters Margorie King, Usona McCartee and Reta Wood and also by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Gordon was born on December 2, 1915 on the family homestead north of Taber and had been a long time resident of Taber.
Gordon was a rancher and cowboy. He competed in many rodeos and was especially skilled in saddle bronc in his early years, and became very proficient in calf roping after retiring from bronc riding. He won many events collecting many trophies, saddles and buckles. He also was known for his exceptional horses and competed in many horse shows in southern Alberta.

On May 10,1943 he married Barbara Collett. They shared forty years of love and happiness. Barbara was always very supportive and proud of Gordon's Rodeo career.

In his later years Gordon retired his cowboy hat for a golf cap. He spent many hours on the golf course, and being a natural athlete, did very well in many tournaments. He also spent many hours at Parkside Manor, and will be remembered for his pool playing abilities and his love for a good game of poker.

On July 14, 1989 he married Mary Brooks Easthope. They enjoyed many happy times together, travelling and spending time with each other. She will miss him greatly. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter and great granddaughters and will lovingly be remembered as their "Bunky".

The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5314 - 54 Street, Taber on Thursday, July 15, 1999 at 11:00 A.M. with Bishop Jerry Haslam conducting. Interment followed the Taber Memorial Garden.
