Herbert Louis (Herb) Gosser, 80, died Sunday, October 17, 2004 at Wellington. He was born February 5, 1924 at Plymouth, Kan., the son of James and Viola (White) Gosser. He was a retired Administrator of Wichita Public Schools and a longtime Argonia resident. On December 28, 1948 he was united in marriage with Wilma Knight at Americus, Kan. She preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, Michael Gosser of Wichita; 4 daughters, Marcia Gosser of Argonia, Rita White of Argonia, Pamela Thompson of Peabody, Cindy Martin of Trenton, Ill.; one brother, Bill Gosser of Emporia, 5 sisters, Dorothy Carpenter of Emporia, Joan Baysinger of Emporia, Nancy Wyatt of Plymouth, Rosetta Clark of Cokato, Minn., Patty Vogts of Ostego, Mich.,10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday October 21, 2004 at Americus Cemetery in Americus. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony. Memorials are to the Salvation Army. Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main Anthony, Kan., 67003 is in charge of arrangements.
