OBITUARY:
"William H. Alexander, 72, Farmland, died 19 Feb 1969 at the Randolph Co. Hospital following a sudden illness at his home earlier in the evening. Mr. Alexander was born in Spartanburg 09 Nov 1896. He was first employed near Spartanburg at the Greensfork Twp. State Bank and was transferred to Farmland in 1928. At that time he was a cashier at the Farmland State Bank. In 1932, he became branch manager of the Farmland branch of the Peoples Loan and Trust Co. At the time of his death, he was still the manager and also vice president of the bank. He was a past president of NABAC. Member of the Farmland Congregational Christian Church, charter member of the Farmland Lions Club of which he was the acting treasurer, member of the Lynn Lodge F & AM, Scottish Rite, Fort Wayne, Murat Shrine, Indianapolis, and a member of the OES, Farmland. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander had celebhrated their 50th wedding anniversary 03 Nov 1967.

Survivors include the widow, Blanche; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin L. (Mary Ellen) Talley, Farmland, Mrs. Robert C. (Barbara) Daniels, Elkhart; one son, William S., Richmond; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchidren.
