Mary Ware Sanders 91, of Signal Mountain, TN, died Thursday September 6, 2012.
She was born at Fort Oglethorpe, GA, where her father was stationed after World War I, and was christened at the Old Post Chapel.
She was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by parents Margaret Vandergriff and James T. Ware, husband A. Jackson Sanders. Brothers, Stuart Bernard Ware, William Laney Ware and James T. Ware Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Sanders Callaway and husband William Lloyd Callaway; grandson William Lloyd Callaway III, granddaughter Laney Callaway McNulty and husband Matthew McNulty; great grandson William Callaway Bray and brother, Robert Lee Ware.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153, Chattanooga, TN.
Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church - Good Samaritan Fund, 612 James Boulevard, Signal Mountain, TN.
Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
