1n 1852, at age 41, Residence in Peel County, Canada West (Ontario), Canada
In 1861 until the time of his death, his residence is listed at Lambton, Canada West, Canada; Lambton, Ontario, Canada; or Lambton West, Ontario, Canada.
Died 18-Sep-1895 and buried 21-Sep-1895 in Moore Union Cemetery.

The following is a summary of what is written in the book, "Commemorative Biographical Record of the County of Lambton, Ontario" published 1906, but may not be completely accurate, as Robert's listed age and year of death do not agree with those shown on his Funeral Card or gravestone:

In 1855 he sold his holdings in Chinguacousy Twp, Peel Co., Ontario (Toroto, originally named "Muddy York") and moved to Moore Twp., Lambton Co., Ontario, purchasing 300 acres for $3200. As his circumstances improved, he purchased more land, including some in Wisconsin, and at the time of his death, owned over 800 acres.
Politically, a Conservative, and religiously, a Methodist, serving as a teacher, class leader, and choir member in his church. Fraternally he was connected with the Loyal Orange Legion, Brigden Lodge No. 916, and had been raised to the Black Degree. He was also affiliated with the Grand Lodge of the Dominion. He retired from public life 15 years before his death.

Robert and Martha's daughter, Hannah Emma, born 30 Oct, 1840 in Chinguacousy Twp, Peel County, Ontario, lived at age 12 in 1852 Peel County, Canada West (Ontario), Canada, married 22 Nov 1858 at age 18 to Nelson Bowen in Lambton County, Ontario, lived in 1861 at age 21 in Lambton, Canada West, Canada. She died 7 Sep 1864 at age 23 years in Mooretown, Lambton County, Ontario. Hannah's husband, Nelson, was born 4 Mar, 1827 in Lansdown Twp. Leeds County, Ontario, his residence about 1881 at about age 54 was Lambton, Ontario, Canada, and in 1910 at age 83 was St Louis Ward 13, St Louis (Independent City), Missouri. He died 11 Jan, 1911 at age 83 at Lansdowne Twp. Leeds County, Ontario.
