Elizabeth Virginia Creasy Cooper, 94 of Thaxton, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Monday, March 27, 1916 in Bedford Co., VA, a daughter of the late Walter Creasy and Elizabeth (Betty) Stevens Creasy . She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Aaron Bramlett & Leonard Cooper as well as three brothers and three sisters. She was a member of longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Elsie B. Board & husband, James of Thaxton, a grandson, Randy Board & wife, Debbie; three great grandchildren, Jason Board; Jeffrey Board & wife, Kristen; Jennifer Jayne & husband, Jesse, seven great great grandchildren; a brother, William Henry Creasy of Moneta. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Harry Leland officiating. Interment will follow in the Bramlett Family Cemetery.
