The correct spelling of Shuttleworth is Shuttleworth. Sometime after their arrival in 1848, an "s" ended up in the name making it Shuttlesworth. Not all of the family members ended up with the "s". In England and with their arrival in 1848 the name was spelled Shuttleworth. William Charles Shuttlesworth and his family used the extra "s".

Also daughter Edith Helen born 20 Feb 1896 Mt. Pleasant, Foster Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania and died 23 Feb 1977 Ashland, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Wife of Elmer F. McSurdy.
