Mrs. Harvey T. Allen, of Eaton Township, died of arsenical poisoning Saturday morning, the drug have been administered by her own hand with suicidal intent. Her mind was evidently unbalanced and she was haunted with morbid reflections and fears, and she had stated several times that she did not care to live and meant to kill herself. Her husband kept a watch upon her, but while he was absent at the barn for a few moments only she took the fatal dose. A doctor was hurriedly called, but she was dead when he arrived. Coroner W.M. Cress was then summoned and gave the burial permit without holding an inquest. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, a prayer being offered at the house and the body taken to Lemon church for the regular services. Burial at Clark cemetery. Mrs. Allen was forty three years of age and was daughter of Chester Parrish, of Lemon township. Beside the husband she leaves one son, her parents and one brother.
