RUTH (BIRDSALL) WELLS, 72, was buried Monday at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling beside her father and mother, Bert and Mary Frank Birdsall. Mrs. Wells was born Oct. 30, 1903 on a farm near Coleta. She attended North Star School, Frances Shimer High School, and was graduated with honors from Beloit College. She taught school at North Star and later at Clinton High School in Iowa. She was married to Frank Wells Jr. of Clinton, Iowa and the couple lived for many years in California. The Rev. W.D. Willoughby, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, officiated at the 10:30 a.m. services. Mrs. Rosecoe Eades was organist and Tim Allen was soloist. Pallbearers were Charles H.
