Death of Stewart Abbott
Stewart Abbott, a familiar figure on the streets of Lexington, died Tuesday night at 12 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Virginia Manard. Mr. Abbott had been in feeble health for some time, and his death was due to old age and general debility.
Mr. Abbott was born in Montgomery county, Virginia, July 26, 1841. When but five years of age he came with his parents to Lexington, where he has since resided. He is survived by one sister and one brother.
The funeral services conducted by Father Curry, were held at the Catholic church Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
